This week, Bleeping Motherhood is dabbling in embarrassing moments we face in every day life with toddlers. I happen to have little to no shame, so embarrassing moments aren’t too bad in my book. However, I do participate in the occasional embarrassing moment that leaves me a little, well, embarrassed.

But of all the things my 2 and 4 year old can pack in within a single week, I just tell myself, Hey, they are toddlers, they can get away with it. And then I found myself in the grocery store. by myself. No kids to embarrass me. Just me, and myself.

I’m at the check out line and my order came to exactly $100. Not $99.42. Not $100.73. Exactly $100. When does that ever happen? So I made note of it with the store clerk. The convo went something like this:

ME: OOOHH! ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS?!
LADY: Blank-faced.(I could tell she wasn’t really willing to play along with me, so I just swiped my credit card)
CREDIT CARD MACHINE: Starts making all these cool noises in all different pitches. BEEP. BEEP-BEEP, BEEEEEEP.
ME: OOOOOOH, does that mean I win a prize?
LADY: No.

This little scenario had me walking out of the door thinking, hmmmm, maybe it’s not my kids that are the embarrassments, maybe it’s ME!!?? Well, if that is the case, my kids are going to have a really, REALLY hard time as teenagers.

So toddlers of the worlds be warned, the tables will turn…..hoooooo, hoooo, haaaaaa-hahahaaaa. (That was either an evil laugh, or a monkey. Your pick.)
