Have you been a victim of a Facebook mom group gang raid? Post or comment innocently, then suddenly your phone has 37 notifications and you discover that an angry mom mob has attacked you? It is time to take action. Obviously tag the admin (unless the admin is in the mob) then quickly make these changes to your own Facebook profile, because you know half of the mom group is clicking over to your profile to analyze you further.
- Change your profile picture to a creepy clown. It will make your comment/post terrifying and will make them think twice about messing with you further.
- Make all your settings private, except for one post, a link on how to ruin someone’s life. I like this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/2vadwj/serious_whats_a_legal_way_to_ruin_someones_life/
- Go back to the post and turn off notifications. Pending the severity of the mob, consider leaving the group. You don’t need that shit in your life.
So far, there’s only been one Facebook group that doesn’t seem to have too many gang raids, although that could change at any moment. If you want to check it out, it is from Cat & Nat, the two moms that do video blogging. You can find their group here.

I’ve never been a personal victim, but I belong to a group where I’ve seen a lot of mommy bashing. Someone would ask a question based upon a real need and everyone would gang up after picking on one statement buried deep within the explanation of the problem that she was having. As a result, I would never post a question to the group. I didn’t need that kind of hassle! I did provide some advice to the person outside of the group, but never to the group.
Totally don’t need that hassle
