I love listening to my two kids communicate with each other. Sometimes my heart melts as they exchange pleasantries. Watching them learn and grow together is one of motherhood’s greatest gifts. But let’s face it, a 3 and 5 year old’s conversation can be pretty freaking hilarious.
Sometimes I’ll sit there and listen to what is coming out of their mouth. Sometimes it sounds all too familiar…eh hem, maybe a little too much like me? But we’ll save that for another post. Sometimes it’s an explosion of imagination with Buzz Lightyear and Princess Rapunzel sharing a delightful conversation about going to the mall and fighting crime. Other times, it’s like listening to a sitcom between two aging ex-convicts. Usually, whatever my kids are saying or doing, it’s always pure entertainment.
And with Valentine’s Day around the corner, I decided to put my investigative reporter hat on, and see what my 5 year old daughter had to say on the subject of love, Valentine’s Day and other pertinent questions that relate to her mother’s sanity.

Want to do something cute and fun for your husband this Valentine’s Day?
Get your kids to answer these 10 questions above, print out the Q & A’s, and paste it onto a construction paper heart. Have the kiddos color it and sign their name, and on Valentine’s Day, they’ll have a sweet card to present to dad.
A fun and simple gesture that you and your hubs can share with a couple of laughs reading their answers over a glass of wine….while you’re um, doing work and cleaning the house. Wink, wink.
We’d love to hear your kids’ answers to our Valentine’s Day questions. Send them to sothishappened@bleepingmotherhood.com, or post them on our Facebook page.
