I was “that mom”. You know, the mom that didn’t really know better.
On a lot of things, really, but in this case, on nail polish for my sweet daughter.
I know how awful regular nail polish smells. I intellectually realize it is the chemicals involved. And yet, I still didn’t think through it enough to have my daughter avoid it!
Until one day I heard some of my mom friends talking about where they found chemical free nail polish for their children. It struck me what a bad idea it was to use regular nail polish on my daughter. And frankly, on myself.
Then Klee contacted us to check out their products. I picked out the nail polish with high hopes, and this nail polish met them. From the first sniff test there were no scary chemical fumes. What a relief!
Then as I painted my daughter’s nails, when I screwed up, it came off easily. No need to wipe her fingers with dangerous nail polish remover. Another “duh” moment for me.
And when my son wanted a nail painted, I did it with my mind at ease. He typically likes the attention of the moment, then looks at it horrified and wants it immediately gone. And we could easily, just by soaking his finger in warm water and peeled right off.
We give a big “thumb’s up” to Klee and their Pinki Naturali Water-based Nail Polish. You can buy it on their site or on Amazon.com.
